What Happened:

Hi everyone. This blog will be written by me, Lida, Eli’s sister, to share news and updates about his condition.

To start, I want to explain what happened.

On Wednesday, November 12th, Eli was hit by a car while riding his bike home from work. The accident happened at around 10:30 pm. The driver did stop, but Eli sustained extremely serious injuries throughout his body. He was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital right away.

At this time, we still do not know many details about the accident itself. We believe the driver did not see Eli and did not have time to brake. Based on what we know so far, the impact must have been significant, as Eli was thrown about 60 feet.

We will share more information about the accident as we continue speaking and working with the police.
